WTFSNOW or, my disappointment that a Saturday night in sequin hotpants didn’t end in a winter wonderland.

February 28, 2011

It may look sunny, but really it has been frigid cold in San Francisco this week which only made me more excited for what meteorologists promised would be a snowy evening on Saturday night. I obsessed all week over the SF shout-outs on Drudge and the TV news. I stocked up on rock salt and sleds, I even buffed my party pants (more on that later) and snow boots in preparation for what would become the non-event of the century (ok, the week). But where does my disappointment really lie? Is it with the money-hungry media driving thousands of page views (all by me) to their websites by the mention of this historic precipitation or is it the fact that no one got to see my hot pants rocking a sled like a montage out of “cool runnings”? I’m not sure, but let’s hope Target has a good return policy on oversized shovels.
